Singapore’s leading sporting and social network, the Wanderers was established by players with a great passion for rugby and all the off field fun that comes with it.
Singapore Wanderers RFC was officially created in January 1996 by a small group of local rugby enthusiasts keen to create a different club culture. From our first of many games kicking off in 1996, the club developed into one of Singapore’s leading sporting and social networks with an "open door" to players from all backgrounds and with all levels of experience in the game.
We have had considerable success in the local rugby scene during our short history including back-to-back Guinness Premiership wins in 2009 and 2010, winning the Championship League and Finals in 2012 and 2013. The Prems team pushed on with this success to dominate the league winning the Premiership league and Grand Final 4 years running from 2012-2016. In 2019 the club won it's second Treble, The Prems going undefeated to win the Cup Grand Final, the Gents winning the Plate, and the Rovers winning the Bowl.
Vital to the club's success has been the ongoing support from our sponsors Octopus (San Miguel) and Tadcaster Hospitality as Main sponsors, Strength Clinic Academy as our Physio Sponsor, Tsunami as our Kit sponsors, and Orthosports and Linc Private Solutions as our 3rd tier Sponsors. The executive committee of WRFC is made up of a group of volunteering current and former players, all of which come together to keep the club running and make sure the beers are cold. See a familiar face, come say g’day over a San Mig.
